Product thinking and design answers for your "How Might We” questions.

I’m an independent industrial designer and innovation consultant. With original blue sky thinking tied to pragmatic and directional design outcomes.

My super powers might be best summed up in the recent words of a Japanese client. “You’re an ideas machine! Your thinking and POV has really helped reframe the team’s thinking.”

I work directly with brands and globally respected strategy, innovation and design agencies. To bring product focused ideas to their projects. Working across categories with brands as diverse as Samsung, Diageo, Meta, BMW and PepsiCo.

How I help

Over the years I’ve developed the ability to quickly translate, insights and opportunity areas into novel design ideas. I work collaboratively and ego free to open up not close down possibilities. Below are a few of the ways I do this.

Inspire your emerging opportunities

From informal conversations to structured creative sessions with your team and client. I help develop ideas and visualise through digital sketching, often directly onto your Miro. In order to move ideas forward and aid collaboration with distributed teams.

Energising workshops

I’m able to create, lead and/or participate in workshops to quickly reframe thinking, help participants view their existing ideas differently and catalyse the generate of new ones.

Bringing ideas to life

As the ideas evolve I’m able to refine them into potential product concepts. I creating simple context and experience storyboards and product concepts, both digital and physical that support your idea development. As the ideas crystallise I’m able to illuminate at higher resolution to bring to life value propositions for consumer testing and final presentations.

Beyond the screen

I can take ideas into the real world. Prototyping the experience to ensure they are a believable fit with future users and technically credible. This can involve something as simple as a paper prototype, scripting and rehearsing new experiences to context based testing with consumers or vision movies suitable for C-suit presentations.
